Manchester Language School offers twelve different English language courses (residential and non-residential) and Scandinavian languages part-time evening classes.
Courses take place at Moor Cottage, Didsbury. In-house language training for companies within a 30 mile radius of Manchester can also be arranged.
Courses are tailor-made in consultation with the client before the start of the course and are available both for individuals (one-to-one tuition) and for small groups when they share a similar level of experience and learning objectives in the target language.
Manchester Language School is inspected and accredited by the Accreditation Body for Language Services to ensure high standards. MLS is a member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
Moor Cottage is an attractive eighteenth century house with a beautiful garden. The house provides a superb venue for teaching and events. The dedicated class rooms are equipped with teaching aids and a library.
Broadband Internet access is available throughout the house.
Moor Cottage is located in the centre of Didsbury Village. It is accessible by tram or bus from Manchester City Centre, Stockport, Chorlton and Altrincham. For clients arriving by car, there is parking in the driveway in front of the house.
Moor Cottage Team
The team at Manchester Language School consists of Principal (Judith Godfrey), Senior tutor (Neil Ashford) assisted by specialist teachers (Diana Rosenthal, Michaeljon Ashworth). Judith, Neil and Diana have a wealth of experience in all aspects of language training including, with Consultant Course Director (Stephanie Aldred), ELT published course materials.
Bill Godfrey is the school’s Administrator. He also organises and accompanies much of the social programme and is an expert guide to the City and the region.
The tutors for the Norwegian, Swedish and Danish evening classes are native speakers who have taught with us for many years.
