Reservations: Manchester Language School will confirm all bookings in writing on receipt of a booking form and deposit.
Deposit: A deposit of £150 (GBP sterling) per person plus a completed Registration Form (available from the web site) is required to confirm a reservation. The deposit is payable to Manchester Language School Ltd. The course participant is responsible for any bank charges.
Invoicing: As soon as the deposit and completed registration form have been received Manchester Language School Ltd will send the invoice for the full fee less any deposit paid.
Home stay: Details of home stay accommodation will be sent two weeks before the client’s arrival in Manchester.
Payment : The invoice must be paid (GBP sterling) four weeks before the start of the course. Payment may be made by one of 5 options:

Cancellation by Manchester Language School Ltd: In the unlikely event of cancellation by Manchester Language School Ltd course participants will receive a full refund of fees paid.
Cancellations by course participants: For cancellations more than four weeks before the start of the course a full refund of course fees paid less deposits will be made. For cancellations made less than four weeks before the start of the course refunds will be made according to the following scale:
- Period before departure within notice of cancellation is received: % of total booking price
- 28 days or more: Loss of deposit
- 14 to 27 days: 50%
- 13 to 0 days: 0%
Cancellations must be in writing by post, fax or e-mail.
Withdrawals: No fees are refunded to course participants withdrawing after the start of the course other than at the Director’s discretion.
Travel: Course participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from Manchester.
Transfers: Transfers costs to and from Manchester Airport, Railway or Coach Station to home stays / hotels are included in the course fee.
Home stay: Manchester Language School Ltd will endeavor to send details of home stay accommodation two weeks before the client’s arrival in Manchester.
Hotel Accommodation: When hotel accommodation instead of home stay is requested the costs must be paid direct by the client.
Programme alterations Manchester Language School Ltd reserves the right to make adjustments to programmes, home stay arrangements etc where necessary and will notify course participants when such changes are material.
Insurance: MLS requires that all clients are adequately insured so participants are advised to also check their private insurance for travel abroad. In addition, Manchester Language School offers personal and baggage insurance for all course participants under the age of 70 as part of the course fee.
Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and course participants acknowledge the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Non-residential part-time courses
Deposit: A deposit of £40 is required to confirm a reservation for a one-to-one course. The deposit is payable to Manchester Language School. The client is responsible for any bank charges.
Invoicing: Manchester Language School will send the invoice for the whole fee when a course is confirmed.
Payment: Full fees must be paid, in sterling currency, before the course begins.
Withdrawals: No fees are refunded to course participants withdrawing after the start of the course, other than at the Director’s discretion.
Cancellations: 48 hours notice is required if lessons are cancelled or are to re-arranged. Please do not use e-mails or faxes. Cancellations will only be accepted when received by telephone. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged in full.
